Sally Blumenfeld bought her first serious astrology book, Astrology, the Divine Science. by Marcia Moore and Mark Douglas in November of 1978. Her library has increased tremendously since then and her passion for the subject has never waned.
Sally found astrology to be a useful tool in her own life. She graduated from Lawrence University in 1976 with a degree in music. However, she felt discouraged and sought out answers as to why. If not a career in music, then what? Little did she know that her search for meaning in her own life would spawn a career in astrology. After the death of her mother in 2001, she realized that life was short. She finally decided it was time to be true to herself. Later that year she joined STARS (Society for Teaching, Astrological Research, and Study), the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN) Chapter of NCGR (National Council for Geocosmic Research). In 2002 she became a professional astrologer and a member of the STARS board. She served nearly five years on the board, the last three years as president.
In addition to doing readings for clients, Sally has also taught astrology through community education, given astrology parties at clients' homes, written articles for Partile, STARS quarterly newsletter, and lectured at the 2008 and 2009 Women and Spirituality Conferences at Minnesota State University in Mankato.
